“ This is one of the most expensive restaurants on the island. No matter how much you spend on dinner, you are still going to be hungry again the next day. But, having spent eight weeks on Kaua'i over the past three years, we decided that for once we should try Red Salt. We had a spicy tuna sushi roll, the homemade ricotta app, the vanilla bean mahi mahi, the crab-crusted monchong, and the bread pudding for dessert. The food was plated beautifully and delicious, the portions are on the small side. Did we enjoy the food? Yes, but we had more satisfying experiences at Break + Feast, JO-2, and RumFire. If you come from outside the resort, parking is valet only. I gave the guy a $5 tip to retrieve my car which took him about 60 sec, but he seemed disappointed. Sorry, guy, after spending $15 for a 12 oz. bottle of beer and over $300 for the rest of the meal, that's all I had left. ”

“ Shanna was our server and she was great! We were definitely a handful in how we ordered our dinner. I am a fan of progressive eating. I don't like to order everything ahead of time. I prefer to choose each option as I go. Maybe the appetizer flavors will lead me to a different entree. Let's see where the night will take us. We had the ricotta appetizer and it was delicious! So worth it. After we finished our appetizer, we checked out the menu again and decided our next course would be the coconut curry bisque. Two in our party also ordered some sushi. I don't like sushi but overall everything to that point was delicious. All of it was amazing! Now to our next stop on the menu... We decided we would split the scallop appetizer. It was really good too. Perfect portion to split between the 3 of us. For the next round, we split the mahi mahi entree. Yum. So light and flavorful. I don't think we could pick a favorite of all the things we had eaten to that point. Then we asked for the dessert menu and oh my gosh!! The German chocolate martini was so yummy and with the toasted coconut rim ... the best It really did taste like a German chocolate cake. We also split the bread pudding. I'm not usually a fan of bread pudding but after the Red Salt version, I understand why people like bread pudding This place is a must have if you're in Poipu. ”

“ Breakfast with our server Sage was an event! Our table of four enjoyed a leisurely meal with Mac nut lattes, seemingly bottomless mimosas (we ordered bottles and juice on the side), and tasty omelettes, Avocado toast, and the star of the table, the lemon pineapple soufflé pancakes. The pancakes were more like sweet meringue and we all shared. Spacious restaurant and can't wait to return for dinner before we leave. ”
